Stumbled Upon

Tuesday

The hardest people to make laugh...

are those who need it the most. So is the line from http://www.comedytheroadlesstraveled.com/
It's a link to a movie and the webiste of an American comedian, Michale Jr., who sets about taking his comedy to those who most need it; prisoners incarcerated when they were young (and foolish), the homeless and destitute and, worst of all, drug endangered children. The trailer speaks for itself. I'd like to point out one thing that, having been at a pre-screening of it, I'd like to point out. It's the most heartwarming story in the 60-odd-minutes of the full movie; the little boy you see in the Spiderman outfit is the son of a woman who was coming down of some very bad drugs. The boy was physically abused, including having his nails pulled, and wore the mask for such a long time so that his face would not be seen...
Even watching the trailer will show you that laughter can be one of the best medicines there is. I am so very proud to be associated with the company that produced this very positive piece of media. It's the first in an ongoing series of documentaries that they will produce to combat the negativity that appears to be so prevalent in today's mainstream media.
So I invite you to watch the full movie and remind yourself that you can choose your respomse to any situation. So choose to be happy, choose the road less travelled and remember, it's never as bad as it seems and "this too shall pass".
